The paper presents a neuropsychological model of thinking in ”cause-effect” categories, seen as a process of mutually excitatory circuits. According to premises adopted in this model, direction of excitation of circuits depends on circuit excitation value, i.e. amount of stimuli needed to elicit a state of excitation in the entire circuit and availability of excitatory stimuli arising in external environment or in adjacent circuits.
